The Story
Kelli and John met in their freshman year of college at the University of Colorado (GO BUFFS! 
) through mutual friend and bridesmaid, Emily Kolquist. They were friends throughout college and had many classes together throughout their time at CU. They started dating in the summer of 2006... Kelli needed a date to a friend's wedding (Matron of Honor Lindsay Abrams) and thought John would clean up better than most of her other guy friends, so she decided to ask him. Kelli was a bridesmaid in the wedding she invited John to, so he spent the majority of the evening with Kelli's parents, whom he had met only briefly once before. Everyone got along famously that evening and Kelli and John have been together ever since!
The Proposal
John proposed at Kelli's parents house on Saturday, November 1, 2008. It took place in their backyard and the weather was absolutely amazing that day. Best of all, Kelli's parents and several of their close friends came by soon after to celebrate! It was the best day EVER (at least until the wedding)!
